Parkwood Tournament Company is a proud host to a stadium with a minor league history. The Joplin Miners, an affiliate of the New York Yankees, were the original tenants of the Joe Becker Stadium. In addition to this rich history, many collegiate and high school teams have utilized the complex over the years.
In 1913, Joe Becker Stadium was built to host the Joplin Miners, a minor league branch of the New York Yankees. Other hosted affiliates include the Missouri Southern State University summer collegiate team, The Joplin Outlaws, and several traveling college and high school teams.
All ballfields with Parkwood Tournament Company offer family restrooms with baby changing stations, concessions, as well as per ticket admission pricing that varies per event. Those needing pricing for their player’s particular event are welcome to reach out directly to us to confirm.
Pets, alcohol, and outside food are unfortunately prohibited on-site to protect the integrity of the fields.
At Parkwood Tournament Company we aim to bring out-of-town players and their families into the Joplin, Missouri baseball community. Our goal is to grow the baseball community in the Ozarks, so we can benefit businesses, school programs, and the overall impact of sportsmanship. We want to encourage the next generation to have the same passion for the game as generations before them.
We have three facilities that proudly host Mid-America, Heartland, and USA Baseball tournaments with concessions readily available to visitors. In addition to our proud partnerships, we offer a total of 8 turf facilities within a 25-mile commuting radius, and close access to dining facilities across the Joplin area.
